Austin Mahone was kinda to be expected. But he didn't deserve it. MTV will lose even more credibility when he fades in 6 months given that he got the "artist to watch" award.

I think Ke$ha deserved the year she was nominated for. Obviously I'm gonna say that as a stan but I genuinely think she was massive in music that year. Justin didn't have big singles like her back then.
However, I voted Austin because Iggy was the standout in that category. Even though I like him, he isn't bringing anything new to music & comes off as just another Justin Bieber in his style and sound.
