Can we talk about this overblown, ridiculous media reaction to Miley? What a pile of ****.

Acting overtly sexual always bring the naysayers but respected journalists and media people claiming she needs help? She's 20 years old, this is everyone's time in life to discover sex and act on it. Of course being Hannah Montana doesn't help, but I think the performance introduced her to the grown up pop scene in a big way. What was the last time an American singer started an era with this much thought and planning in terms of imagery and bringing an underground culture to the mainstream? That would be Gaga, who smashed really hard with the costumes and hard dance beats.

Of course Miley isn't underground in anyway but I don't see anything wrong in relating to something and wanting to be part of it. I think it's refreshing actually that someone from the mouse house can be this compelling and fresh in her music and visuals.

Here's hoping this doesn't harm her in a big way.

That's all subjective, though. Some people might like Rihanna's tone and for that reason prefer her songs and her voice in general.
