I really had high hopes for Katy's new sound and image this era, especially after the wig burning and funeral teasers. But so far she sounds the same as always, and her visuals are so uninspired. Lion/tiger + jungle theme for the single cover and video. Boxing theme for the performance (because of the Muhammad Ali lyrics). Way too literal for my tastes.

If anyone else made this song, they would make a boring video of them working out, training, boxing, or just going through life.
Katy, however, takes the risks nobody else dares to take. Who else would make a Tarzan video?? Nobody. Why? Because it would be a mess, but katy always makes it work and her videos go viral (see: Last Friday Night).
