Marion Cotillard Replaces Natalie Portman In 'Macbeth' Opposite Michael Fassbender
The StudioCanal and Film4 movie, mounted by "The King's Speech" producers, is set to shoot in January 2014.
LONDON – Oscar winner Marion Cotillard has replaced Natalie Portman as Lady Macbeth in See-Saw Films’ Macbeth, to be directed by Snowtown's Justin Kurzel.

Cotillard will star opposite Michael Fassbender, who will play the iconic eponymous antihero in the adaptation of the Shakespearean tragedy.
The movie will be produced by the team behind the Oscar-winning The King's Speech, Iain Canning and Emile Sherman.
Preproduction is slated for the end of the year with shooting set to kick off in the U.K. in January 2014.
StudioCanal is financing the majority of the picture with Film4, the moviemaking arm of the U.K. broadcaster Channel 4, and will handle international sales.
The French-owned mini-major will also release the movie in the U.K., France and Germany.
Cotillard is repped by CAA and Agence Adequat.
