Beyonce's backstage behaviour 'affected' other acts at V Fes
Quote:
Travis singer Fran Healy has criticised Beyonce for dominating the backstage area at V Festival last weekend.
The US superstar delivered headline sets at the Staffordshire leg on Saturday (August 17) and then again on Sunday (August 18) in Essex, where she drew boos from the crowd for appearing on stage half an hour late.
According to Healy, her behaviour also proved unpopular backstage. "Beyonce locked down the entire backstage area for an hour. Everyone was affected," Healy told the Daily Record, recalling his V Festival experience. "You'd ask, 'Can I just go there?' and they'd say, 'No. You can't cross this little street'."
"Everyone was just following orders from the gang," Healy continued. "I guess that's how Americans do it but it's not how we do it in the UK. She was headlining the main stage and was half an hour late. The whole area was cut off as if there had been a nuclear disaster."
Beyonce's two V Festival sets were her only UK festival appearances of the summer and it was later reported that she splashed out nearly £1500 at a branch of Nando's following the Essex leg, placing an order that included 48 whole chickens, 48 portion of chips and 12 veggie burgers. The singer will resume her The Mrs Carter Show World Tour in Philadelphia on August 31.
I can't say anything bad about her because she is accomplished and the Queen of R&B. I mean, she is a (self-proclaimed) diva with a self-admitted big ego so get with the program.
I've heard about this with a lot of Americans who come to Europe though.
They think everything is just gonna drop for them because thats what happens in America and they expect it everywhere else too.
Even Oprah.

In this case, it wasn't just a thought. Everything DID drop for her.
I mean, she had probably the most complicated set of any performers. All those dancers, band members, costume changes. It makes sense that she'd need to close it down for a mere hour.
