The government was overthrown by millions of people who finally had had enough with the increasing gap between the poor and the rich. The idea of a middle class had been obliterated by this point: People were either living in mansions with millions to billions of dollars in their accounts or they were dirt poor, living on the streets and begging the rich who would walk right by them for just a dollar out of their fortunes. People were struggling to survive while others practically burned their money.
After the governmental capital was destroyed, a new empire began to rise... People no longer considered themselves the 50 States. They were no longer the United States of America. A ruler imposed a new name, a new way of life...
The empire rose to the name Lethaia.
