Obviously this is a sweeping generalization but it has lots of truth to it.

Well ATRL is a pop forum and male pop music has been pretty boring in recent years. Male artist's from other genres such as Kanye West or Vampire Weekend have received a lot of praise though. Also I think the gay thing is a factor. Personally I can relate more to Rihanna wanting a guy to stay rather than Robin Thicke wanting to rape women.

Pop males are boring people they all try to rip off MJ. It's looks tired and boring. Male bands and artists of other genres are FAR better.

Female vocalists are just better. /endthread

Because male artists consistently outsell their faves without needing the support of gays.

Men are at the pinnacle of the industry. Even the hitmakers are almost all male

I don't stan for many (or any come to think of it) male artists because I tend to find that female artists are superior in almost every aspect. Vocally, Lyrically, Star Quality etc.. very rarely does a male artist have the complete package.

I guess to ATRL they aren't as polarizing as female pop stars. I have no problem with male singers. A lot of the male singers I listen to are in bands anyway.

Then add to how poular male artists tend to be taken more seriously by critics and the GP, and outsell sissy pop chicks without having to pander to the "It Gets Better"-crowd.
