Because most of ATRL's faves fall under 3 categories:
Those who can sing well, but aren't much of a performer.
Those who can put on a show, but has little raw talent.
Those who can sing decently and perform decently, but has virtually no hand in the major aspects of their music/career.
Bey & Gaga are as close to the total package as pop stars, in general, get. They have singing talent, they can put on a show, they're headstrong, they're album sellers in a time where most singers are celebrating over how fast their record can go #1 or how long it can stay there. Stans dislike artists who have one big characteristic their fave lacks because no amount of word twisting, number crunching, or ugly pictures can make up for it.
It's the same way in real life. Where people generally dislike a certain person for a quality that person possesses that they themselves lack and would love to have.
