I think people underestimate Katy, and seeing that she ended the Teenage Dream era on a high note (a #2 peaking multi-format smash, Wide Awake), and the performance of Roar blowing past everyone's expectations and outperforming other artists' lead singles, do you think Katy Perry can sell 1M in her debut week? Clearly the GP is thirsty for new Katy Perry music. Dark Horse will just broaden her fan base as well. She appeals to the same demographic as Taylor Swift, not to mention a lot of adults support her as well. Can she do it like Britney, Taylor, and Gaga did before her?
