Her label was pretty lazy too when it came to her career. They kept relying on X Factor performances to sell her singles and albums. After Glassheart bombed, her label released a statement saying that she was still a priority for them Worldwide and that she would be returning to the studio immediately for a new album, aka they know they ****ed up and are going to restart.
Modest is horrible management though. I think almost everyone who had them have left them and had problems with them. She had open of the biggest songs of the decade and her management/label failed to follow it up properly.
Another problem is Leona herself. Just to think she had the chance to release We Found Love but told Calvin Harris she wanted to release Trouble first. Her management and label basically abandoned her and she controlled the entire Glassheart era herself, even down to the unnecessary year delay and she's in no place to have full reign over her career.
