Basically, the Hive realized that they could use ape jokes against Rihanna they way that the Navy has been doing against Beyonce since forever.

The Navy couldn't take and was constantly reporting in HQ.

Meanwhile the new members were constantly making personal attacks because they don't know how to drag.

It all exploded in HQ where a debate on what should/should not be accepted in SYG went on for 25ish pages (I'd recommend reading them).

Lipton then closed SYG temporarily, which only fueled the debate more.

It's not that simple.

So far, all the moderators who've responded are in favor of increasing moderation. I don't feel like fighting for SYG freedom again. And the large part of why I was able to get it done the last time was because SYG, in essence, was my realm and the other moderators didn't care enough to be bothered with it.

Which, again, worked fine before because I did most of it with Kworb and the other moderators didn't have to be bothered.

And my point is that nothing has changed. Both Rihanna and Beyonce have been at the receiving side of the table for years. It just happens that now SYG is worse than before.

It's not like someone was called the n-word. Someone was likened to an animal. If someone genuinely thought that person looked like that regardless of race, I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
