I know you haven't been in SYG much lately but yes the past months it was a lot slower, almost everyone in SYG had already been on the forum for a year, and there weren't that many lingering issues about what's allowed and what isn't.

It wasn't even specifically LAST night that led to the closure of SYG. This had been building up for a week, ever since the pace of SYG began to move much too quickly and the activity picked up.
It had gotten very messy, but honestly none of the racist jokes were funny (except for Ri-Gi P her Stay GIF).
The only permabanned members let back in where the ones that had been permanently banned because of creating duplicates, not the ones who had been banned forever due to accumulating twenty points. We've changed the way we handle duplicates, and we felt it would only be fair to give them a second chance.
