I have tried my best to keep SYG as it is but it's become nearly impossible the past few days. It's just moving too fast, and with people always trying to see how far they can go before crossing that invisible line, it only brings more people here, supposedly offended, eager to have their enemy warned or banned.
I've said it before, but no space on ATRL can truly be unmoderated. At the very least, we always have to be on the lookout for graphic/explicit things and file sharing. One of the main features of SYG is the lack of personal attacks, so the thread has to be moderated for that as well.
I don't think SYG will come back in its current form. With 30 new pages every hour, it's no longer an option to let everyone roam free. My proposal is to have a new SYG with reporting enabled. The only difference between it and the rest of ATRL would be allowing nicknames, flamebait and trolling. I think a "vanilla" SYG is the only viable option if we want this iconic thread to survive.
