Thanks! It's supposed to pay a whole dollar more an hour, so I hope I get it.

Yes it's true unfortunately. It was my first retail job before working at Nordstrom, but Abercrombie is extremely superficial. We had a look book in the back of the store we had to follow.
How we had to have our hair, facial hair (for men), make-up (for women), clothing, facial structure, etc.

I work at a grocery store, but I'm honestly so tired of it.
I'm just a bagger, but I'm not your average bagger. I care a lot about the store, its appearance, and the customers, but most of my colleagues don't. They don't take their jobs seriously AT ALL. They'll play on their phones, leave their areas disgusting, and go upstairs and hide when they should be working. Meanwhile, I'm over here doing a thousand and one things while I watch them do nothing. It annoys me so much that they get paid the same amount I do for doing way less work than I do! And a lot of it is due to my supervisors. They hire the dumbest and laziest people to work, and then wonder why they have the problems they do. And then when they catch someone doing something they're not supposed to, they don't discipline them or anything; they just make a joke about it and the baggers continue doing things they shouldn't be doing on the job. I wish I had the opportunity to be manager for a day! I would make so many changes. But, I'm too young and I can't do a single thing about anything.

I work at a software development company. I only hate it when I have to work overtime, which is like twice a year so it's all great

damn, that's terrible! if only gordon ramsey had a "Retail Nightmares" show or s/t...
at the store i work at, we can't even have our phones near us, and we aren't allowed to even talk to other sales associates unless it's about work stuff.
hope you find a better job soon!!

Facial structure? This can't be serious.

If you hate it so much, don't do all that work. I don't understand what would make you care so much about a grocery store... Just make it look like you're doing something.

Believe me, people do argue on the internet over grocery stores. I've seen it happen.
That being said i 'd MUCH RATHER work in retail than fast food ESPECIALLY IN THE BACK :maze:, especially being the person I am I would get fired right on the spot too.

As of today, I teach Jr.High kids at my orchestra a couple of towns over.(The Jr.High orchestra is separate from the college orchestra, so it's not the blind leading the blind here.)
