There have been claims by various ATRL members that the iconic, new gaycat smiley is a fad. They believe that it will not have the longevity and overall impact of eli, biblio, rip, deadbanana, or even jonny. However, I think that gaycat will have tons of influence on this website and that it may even get some of its sister smileys to join the roster in the near future.
