Isn't it time to do like the rest of the world? Canada did it (still working on it), why can't Americans?

Well some of them think they are so much better than everybody else. I sort of want them to keep living in their own little universe. Don't wanna interfere with a certain species that is still has to evolve.

Because Americans are more nationalists than Canadians. Which is kind of contradiction to the fact how cosmopolitian the US are

None of those things you listed are "difficult" when you were taught them when you were little and did it that way your entire life. I don't even think about the way we do things like that as opposed to other countries

Americans use it when it comes to academics. I've never used the American system in a math or science class.

It's not difficult at all. Outside of science (where Americans DO use the metric system), it isn't difficult to learn and use the imperial system at all and it wouldn't be any more practical to use the metric system for everyday (non-science) use.

And of course, think of how expensive it would be to change all of these things? Street signs, text books, computer programs....it wouldn't even be CLOSE to being worth it.

We're an extremely nationalistic country. We're proud of who we are and being "different" I guess. They tried to introduce the metric system to the US in the 70's but we rejected it so we went back to our system.

We just have a different standard of thinking then easterners I guess. It's not that we're trying to be different.
