She is the queen because her iconic perfomances not because the awards.
Have you ever seen MTV promoting her show like this? "Watch this year vmas! Are you excited to see how many awards will gaga win this year?!!!!" No honey...everything is about the legendary perfomances.
Actually they do promote the actual awards. Have you not seen the whole Katy vs. Gaga battle MTV is trying to brew?
but sis can't be the "Queen" of an award show with no Awards.
There are definitely artists who deserve that title due to them having epic performances and wins.
I don't really think it's delusional since it's been so long since the kiss happened that people barely even remember it. Some pop culture moments stand the test of time. That probably won't. The meat dress will probably always be associated with Gaga, though.
I don't even like Britney. Gagas meat dress is not more iconic than the kiss between Britney and Madonna. Every pop girl wants to recreate that moment. Even Gaga. I love gaga but her performances at the VMAs will never be up to par with Britneys. Her paparazzi performance is already forgotten and it's only the monsters clinging to it. Britney defined a whole generation, sadly.

Agree to disagree, but I will say we can't keep living in the past generation and ignore what Gaga is to this one.
The kiss between Britney and Madonna alone supersedes anything GaGa has done on the show.
But that is Britney's ONLY iconic moment from the VMAs!
Her 2007 performance is infamous, not iconic
Her first 2 VMA performances are recognizable because she was the world's biggest sex symbol at the time but the performances weren't anything special on their own

No. I agree with that. I personally feel that Gagas impact will be much bigger than Britney, simply because she has the talent and creativity something that Britney lacks. Plus Britney made music for kids during her peak. Something that still haunts her today.

Infamous things can be iconic. The definitions are different and can overlap. If everyone can recognize it, it's iconic.
Um... I believe people are forgetting Adele's unforgettable debut of "Someone Like You" in the US at the 2011 VMAs? That was incredible... for me, at least, and I believe it even had Britney in tears. Honestly, though, I'm not a fan of Britney, so I'm gonna say Gaga.

Everybody from my generation remember the striptease and the snake. Dont be delusional.
