It's possible to come back from a ban with 10+ points still on your account (lots of 2 and 3 point warnings) and the warning program we have only bans automatically at 10 points only so you can get higher than 10. But usually when we see this when warning we ban you because you're still above 10 points. So it's really hard to reach 20.
I thought Rem got perma'd, came back with 10 permapoints and then got punched out for good at 20?
His points were based on duplicate account to ban him.
And yes, Vin, it is possible to get banned with 20 points. Some members come back from ban land with 10 points because some of their points don't drop off till 60, 90, or even 120 days from their offense. It's not common, but it has happened.
We'll be welcoming back Rem, Xtian, Cherry, and Knix from banland to better align with how we handle duplicate accounts today on ATRL. They'll be all assigned 3 permanent warning points to their accounts for creating multiple duplicates. This was something we thought would be nice to do because an exception for one, should be an exception for all. These lifts are ONLY for people with previous duplicate accounts, not the ones who reached 20 Warning Points. Hopefully, they'll be appreciative of this opportunity and take advantage of it.

Nop, any person who got permabanned for making a duplicate account will be unbanned, it has nothing to do with their "status", at least I hope it doesn't.
