It stems mostly from GaGa's apparent shade towards Britney in 2010 - i.e The Monster Ball proclamation of never lipsyncing/ "surprise, a pop show and the ***** can sing"; when she overtook Britney on Twitter and uploaded a video of her in a tiara; releasing stuff/ announcing new projects simultaneously with Britney announcements; etc. She may be a fan, but there are some questionable things that have happened which don't set well with the Army. That and the fact that she was basically Britney's heir apparent with her massive explosion on the Pop Spectrum; no one likes to feel replaced.
I really like her.
