This is surprisingly good! Better than what I was expecting, that's for sure. I love the way that the full chorus is saved for after the second verse. One of the best Australian dance-pop songs in a LONG time. Slay a bit, Ricki.
Absolutely love the video. People are freaking out about it, saying that it's "too much", but that's just what she needs really... controversy.
Unfortunately when it comes to pop music, Australia is terrible at supporting our own acts. It's all about the international artists these days. I just wish Ricki-Lee would try to make it in America, she'd have a much better chance at success with a song like this in the US. She's already had success in Japan (Do It Like That was a big hit over there, and she was featured on a Japanese talk show along with Ke$ha and Carly Rae Jepsen), and C&GITWM is even getting a UK release... I just wish they'd release it in the US, too. It's actually a great dance-pop song.
