Jessie J has admitted she’s not sure about the future of The Voice UK after she left the series.
Price Tag singer Jessie announced last month that she had quit the BBC One series, saying in a statement at the time: “I’ve absolutely loved my time on The Voice and I hope everyone saw and knows how passionately I felt about the show.
“However, I can’t wait to promote my new record around the world and that has to take priority. I shall be keeping a very close eye on series three, showing my support in every way I can and [I] really hope that in some way I can be part of the show.”
Danny O’Donoghue also left the series, while neither Sir Tom Jones nor Will.i.am have signed deals to return.
Asked about whether or not the show will do well, Jessie told BBC Newsbeat: “I don’t know, that’s the honest truth. I can’t predict the future.”
She added: “All I know is that when I went in to the show I gave it everything, I tried to be myself. I was critical. I worked really hard as a coach.”
Jessie suggested it was hard for both the programme makers and coaches to gauge what viewers wanted to watch.
She told the website:
”The hardest thing is you can’t control what the public want, it’s weird because they crave real. But then you give them real and then they don’t want real, so who knows?”
Can u blame her? People only watch that awful show for her!
