Tegan and Sara visited Radio KEXP Seattle yesterday while being in town with Justin Bieber's Dreams Believe tour, on which they are opening for him. They recorded a session playing three songs, Youth, Heart Waster and You Never, all songs from their new album Shipwrecked, which was released one week ago. Their performance was met with much praise from the host as well as listeners on Twitter, who were excited to hear the new songs performed in a different version than on the album.

They also did an interview with the host, where they talked about several topics such as their tour with Bieber, acoustic versus studio recordings, and their upcoming UK/Europe tour.

About the 'Dreams Believe' Tour:
We're 'only' opening for him, but it doesn't feel any less of a great experience than if we were headlining. We've only played one show with him, but we're already wishing we could have been on the tour longer because it is so much fun. We even get some stage production, we have balloons and confetti and these fountains of light that shoot up at the side of the stage at the end of our set, we never get to do that on our own tours. And besides, it's actually kinda cool that we only play a handful of songs, it means we get to watch everyone else perform and most of all Justin, of course, and we're just enjoying being part of this huge event. It's a great experience for us, both as people and musicians, because it's our opportunity to present our music to an audience we usually wouldn't reach otherwise, and it's amazing to see people who have never heard of us dancing to our songs.

About playing acoustic:
We love playing acoustic, it's a nice change and always keeps us challenged. We are constantly working on our songs, re-working them, especially older ones, to make them fit in better with the rest of our material, and playing acoustic is a great way to try out new ideas and arrangements. There's also a lot of positive feedback from people about that, fans love when we play more stripped down versions where nothing distracts from our voices and the lyrics, and we also enjoy being able to focus on certain things and aspects of a song more than when we play it fully instrumented. It makes for more of an intimate experience, both with the audience and the song itself, because the song and its message aren't hiding beneath all these layers of instruments, and essentially that means we can't hide, and that makes it very personal.

About their upcoming UK/Europe tour:
We can't wait to get back over there, our little promo tour in the UK was amazing, full of support and we met so many great people. We did a free concert to surprise our fans in London and they were going wild at that show, we're so excited to go back and finally play more and especially play the new songs for them. It's also been a while since we last toured Europe, so it's gonna be great to go back there as well. We're gonna bring a very special artist along to support us, we love her and have been friends with her for a long time, she's still rather early in her career so we're really happy we can take her on the road with us and give her that experience and exposure. Dates will be announced at the end of this week, so stay tuned!

About charity:
Supporting good causes has always been very important for us. Naturally, we're more drawn to organizations who fight for LGBT rights, but that's not all we care about. We performed at the Women's Rights Concert this week because that's just as important as supporting the gay community. There's so many different things in the world that people are trying to change, every one of them deserves awareness and we try to use the attention and audience we have as artists as best as possible to help people find out how they can contribute to our society becoming better and more equal. It's our way of giving back something of the support we receive as a band, and we also think it's important that as someone who so many people look up to, you stand for something and try to use your influence to make a change in the world.

Tegan and Sara played their second show with Justin Bieber tonight, as the 'Dreams Believe' tour stopped in Seattle. They played the same set as the night before in Los Angeles, except for a slightly different order and the addition of a new song.

Sticking to the successful opener from the first night, Back In Your Head proved again to be the right choice to get people's attention and interest. Building further on that, they played Heart Waster, one of the danciest tracks off of their new album, which managed to get a good portion of the crowd dancing along, a reaction that reached it's peak with the third song Closer. That was when all hell broke loose and the audience melted into one big dancing mass of bodies, only urged on by the balloons that came out again during the song.

Continuing with their current single Youth, the crowd got a well deserved break and could calm down again while swaying to the touching tune about the struggles of growing up. Closing the set was once again Feel It In My Bones, which sounded exactly like a Tegan and Sara song and not so much like a Tiesto collab in the modified band version, encouraging the spectators to move their bodies one last time before the twins left the stage to deafening applause and cheering.

Remember when Garnier announced Tegan Quin from Tegan and Sara as the face for their new BB Cream advertising campaign? They did an official product launch party, and ads featuring Tegan's face were plastered through magazines, newspapers and on billboards worldwide.

That was already quite the surprise, since it was Tegan's first ad campaign ever. But today, Garnier stroke again when they revealed that last week, they had actually shot a TV commercial for the product that not only featured Tegan, but her twin sister Sara as well! A statement from the company reads as follows:

We were overwhelmed by the reactions after launching our ad campaign starring Tegan for our new BB Cream. We got so much positive feedback, emails, letters, from girls and women who lauded the choice of someone who is not a model but more representative of our customers. She is someone they can easily relate to and that gives our product much more credibility and authenticity.

With such a success behind the campaign, we decided that we should take it one step further and also do a TV commercial. We've done it with all our big campaigns before, so why not this one, too? While we were working on the concept, we realized that most people out there probably know Tegan because of her band, and the release of their new album recently showed how big of a household name they actually are. That's why we decided to bring Sara into this, and we think it made for a great addition.

The commercial was shot in New York City, and we were glad Tegan and Sara could make room in their busy promo schedule for the shoot. They are highly professional in front of the camera, having years of experience of shooting music videos, concerts and so on, but it was also a pleasure being around the behind the camera, as they are both very nice and funny people to be around. We loved working with them and hope to continue to do so in the future.”

The commercial received its first broadcast today, and we have to say, it's actually quite cool and doesn't even look that staged, like most cosmetics commercials do. The short clip features Tegan and Sara getting ready backstage before a performance, with Sara being unable to find her make-up. She asks Tegan if she can borrow hers, to which Tegan replies, “I don't have any with me, sorry.” Sara looks at her incredulously. “How can that be, your skin looks flawless!” Tegan turns around and looks at Sara, holding up the Garnier BB Cream. “I just use this, the new BB Cream from Garnier, you should give it a try.” She turns to the camera, smiling, saying her catchphrase from the ad campaign. “It's lighter than make up, but just as effective.” “That sounds crazy, but I guess I'll try it anyway”, Sara replies, before the commercial cuts to a picture of the BB Cream bottle and Tegan's voice listing the benefits of using it. Afterwards, the sisters are shown again, Sara looking into the camera like a mirror over Tegan's shoulder, saying, “I can't believe it actually works. My skin looks great, but it also feels amazing. Thanks for helping me out, sis!”, and with that, she snatches the BB Cream from Tegan and walks off. Tegan just grins into the camera and says, “I guess I'll just have to get a new one.”

In addition, music from Tegan and Sara's new album Shipwrecked is playing in the background throughout the commercial.

Interviewer: How long did it take you to write this album?
Carly: About six or seven months. This is crazy but I wrote over 20 songs and uh, this is going to make me sound so arrogant but they are all amazing. I kind of feel like I'm at my peak at writing with this album.

This week has been full of events for Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus, as they release their duet “Bitch Like That.” The single has had high points, low blows and rocky roads this week. Although it broke records, it did receive backlash for its content. The latest performance of the new single was last night on ‘The X Factor’ where the girls received great reviews, and the song re-claimed the throne on the iTunes Songs Chart. Carly gave an interview with 102.7 KIIS FM where she revealed details about her albums and some other exciting details about her upcoming album.

Interviewer: So Carly of course Little Poems is on the album. How many other songs are on the record?
Carly: Quite a few. About eighteen I believe?
Interviewer: Eighteen? That's a lot for an album.
Carly: There's actually more on another edition of the album. I wrote a lot of songs for the album that I couldn't bear now to be released.
Interviewer: How much involvement did you, Carly Rae Jepsen, have in the album?
Carly: It's all me. I wrote almost all of the lyrics on the album. The album is my whole life in one record. It's me at my highs and me at my lows. This album is pretty much everything I wanted to say, said.
Interviewer: What song was the hardest to write?
Carly: This one track, which I can't reveal. I cried while I wrote it. It's a song that will always mean a lot to me. I left that track for last on the album because it's a song that is just so beautiful.

Ariana Performs On Today Show After Premiering Her New Video.

Today, after premiering her long awaited video for "The Voice" Ariana performed her song on Today show. She performed 3 songs, and was very sweet cute, and funny at the same time.

Ariana started her set by performing her older hit "Baby I" She was standing on the stage, holding a mic, and just slaying the vocals. Two guys with skateboards were riding behind Ariana. They were doing dangerous tricks on ramps, and Ariana was just having fun with them. She even herself stood on skateboard, and did a trick. After Baby I ended, Ariana performed her newest single "The Voice" She offered fabulous vocals, and cute fashion taste. She was all sparkly, and hot. Her hair was in cute ponytail, and she just literally giving her best. In the middle of the performance, bunch of dancers showed up on stage, and took Ariana. They were holding her, and she continued singing. Dancers were dancing while holding Selena, they spun her in the air, and it looked like a very fun moment. Later, Ariana showed up on stage wearing huge angel wings, and beautiful long white dress. She started singing "The Way" Suddenly she rose to the air, and started singing in there. She looked like a magical princess, and her voice was clearly a gift to audience. In the end she got down, and left the stage. She went to sign autographs, and take photos with fans.

OPEN INVITATIONS MUSIC VIDEO

Premiered on MTV, VH1, VEVO, and ABC, the music video for Shakira's new single with Rihanna was released just now to Vevo. The video starts off with the singers smoking blunts as Shakira stands beside Rihanna who's driving a yaht that appears to be heading out into the ocean. Clips of smoke in a dark red backdrop are shown as the music starts, an extended mix of the instrumental starting off. When the first lyric starts, Shakira is nude against a wall with a red light on her. Only seeing her bare back, she dances provocatively before the verses ends and the chorus hits. Clips of Rihanna's eyes are shown after wards and a male that appears in a club where Rihanna and Shakira are at, them being sat at a booth in the corner. The music stops to let us see and hear Rihanna and Shaki act in a scene as they begin dialogue:

Rihanna: There's no question.
Shakira: No take backs.
Rihanna: I know...
Shakira: Go.

From there Rihanna leaves the booth as does Shakira as Shakira watches as Rihanna seduces the man during her verse of the song. Shakira seems to appear jealous as the man notices. From there Shakira walks to them, glaring before heading out the door. The guy kisses Rihanna's neck before Rihanna takes him to the yacht, where the man and her seem to be alone. Shakira appears from the drivers part of the yacht to the man surprise. Rihanna smirks before both of the popstars begin kissing on the man. Right when Rihanna goes to kiss him, Shakira stabs him in the back before Rihanna stabs him in his heart. Both the women smirk in satisfaction as they continue stabbing him. Covered in blood the girls, strip down to their bathing suits, dumping their clothes in the ocean, clips showing the dead man covered in blood. They pick up his body and haul it overboard as they watch the man sink into his ocean and blood come to the surface. The girls sit on the boat and look out towards the land as the speed away. The video ends as Rihanna and Shakira look at each other with a smirk.

Today, rising star, Ariana Grande performed her new single "The Voice" on American tv show, American idol. She looked very nervous, but acted normal, and tried to hide her nerves from audience. Nobody, noticed, and Ariana did a great job on the performance.

Performance:

Ariana started her peformance, with a huge crystal chair in the middle of the stage. The stage was full of roses. Ariana showed up without shoes, and was wearing a cute, simple white dress. She was walking through the flowers. Finally she reached the chair, and sat on it. The chair started shining, and crystals turned into a bright blue color, and the chair started rising to the air. The chair looked like a huge diamonds, floating in the air. Ariana looked a bit nervous, but controlled her nerves. She was sitting in shiny, bright chair, and offering fantastic vocals. Her voice sounded very pure,a and had no cracks. She hit all the high notes, and added whistles to the performance. Later chair started to disappear, Ariana, and chair disappeared. Suddenly stage was empty, and Ariana jumped into it. She brought the stage down with her last note, and everyone mouths literally opened. The performance ended with Ariana, smiling.

Selena continues her Black Orchid tour in Berlin, 02 World.

Today, Selena yet again continued her record breaking solo tour, for her hit album "Black Orchid" The concert was sold out, and Berlin people are still fuming that tickets were sold out in 15 minutes. Selena was very happy about the concert, and said that she will come back soon. Critics praised Selena's energy, and said that she is all set up for sweet success.

The tour started with Ariana Grande opening it.
She sang 7 songs (Wonderland...) She started her set with her first single coming next week. Wonderland she sang it nicely, her voice had no cracks, she literally slayed. She sounded like an A class act, and to think
she's only 20 years old, and has a voice like this it's incredible.

After Ariana ended her set. She left the stage, and said enjoy the rest of the night, goodbye!
Then a huge countdown showed on the screen, and started going 10...9....8....7.....6....5.....4.....3....2...1.. And Selena fell from the sky, she was in harness. She landed on the stage wearing a black jacket, and short shorts. She started singing her song "Turn Me On" The performance was a huge party. Selena danced, talked with audience. She was just having fun, a great choreography was done, and the performance felt very great. After Selena ended "turn Me On". She quickly ran, and changed her outfit. She got back on stage, and was wearing a school girls uniform. As soon as she got back on stage, and started singing, Oh Baby Bay. Audience went crazy, Selena started singing Britney's hit song "Baby One More Time" A classroom props were added. Dancers dressed as students started dancing , jumping on tables. Selena was sitting next to the table, singing the song, and writing something on papers. She then took the papers, stood up,
and threw them to audience. On papers there was her autographs. Lucky audience members got them. She ended the song. After this performance she didn't go change, she took the mic, and started singing her power ballad "Once" She sang it nicely. Her voice sounded pure, and you could hear her cry during the song. In the end of this song. She went to change. The next performance was "Body Language" It started with huge ice sculpture of the man was standing in the center of the stage. As soon as song started loads of fire were added, and the stage was super hot. The sculpture started to melt, and water started dripping from it. Then Selena got on stage she was wearing leather jacket, and tight black jeans. She was carrying a baseball bat. Later she got closer to the sculpture, took the baseball bat, and started hitting it. The sculpture was destroyed, and Selena started dancing in the flames with other bunch of dancers. The performance ended with huge flash mob of guys, and Selena on the top. After "Body Language" Selena sat next to piano, and started singing "You Murdered My Love" Fantastic vocals, fun time, and great piano skills were offered with this performance. it was a very sweet, and funny performance. Two dancers were dancing on the piano, the podium on which piano was was moving. The Selena sang her old hit from her old times "Come & Get It" the performance had Indian vibes. Selena played drums, and was wearing Indian clothes. It looked very great, and was a nice touch, it made her tour more versatile. After this she sang another power ballad, "Naked Truth" This performance made some audience members cry, because this song is very touching, and hard to listen to. It's about bullying, and about other world problems. Sad background were used. Then Selena sang another old hit "Slow Down" Neon lights, lasers, disco ball were added, and made this performance very hot. Everyone was dancing jumping, and having fun.The fun started with other performance which completely made audience go crazy. it was time for Britney's mash-up performance! She did Britney's dance moves, it was a very sweet tribute. Selena talked about Britney. She said, that Britney is her idol, and will always be. After this performance she took a bottle of water which was close to her, and sipped some water, because her mouth was dry.

Yeah, I just uploaded some pics from that shoot online. It's was a few weeks ago and it was literally amazing. Shakira and I had so much fun on set and it was crazy as ****. She got mad I wanted to wait for my hair to dry to start re shooting so then I pulled her in and we both had wet hair at one part. That wasn't the invention, but it just happened.

Diamonds was a great video shoot too. It's in the process of editing but I feel it will be a very powerful video, and will connect with my fans a lot. Anthony Mandler, the director, is amazing and really got the job done. I'm not trying to say it's better than the "Open invitations" video because they're completely different. If I could describe Diamonds in two world I would say "emotional" and "somber", while OI is "Sexy" and "Fun." They're 2 of the best videos I've ever made so I can't wait to see who the public reacts to them.
