-"Royals" won't be going Top 10 until it gains more sales, more airplay & more streaming. It's not Top 25 on streaming yet & airplay is really low. Sales are also still in the low range.

Lady Gaga is going to benefit from opening the VMA's. She'll have more time sunday night to get downloads in. Katy is closing the show so she'll more than likely only get 30 minutes of downloads in before the end of the sales week.

Robin needs his airplay to start decreasing to give Katy a chance!

I think it's better to close as more people usually watch the ending rather than the beginning. Plus, people are more likely to buy songs after the program has ended rather during the program and since Brave will be the most recent one, they'll be more likely to buy it.

Either way, both songs will benefit greatly from the VMA'.s

Why do people think Katy is going to get #1 after the VMAs? GaGa has been known to do show stopping performances and have songs rocket up iTunes. Katy is known for animal noises and terrible performances. I really don't think Katy has it in the bad by any means. Could she? Yes. But so could someone else.

Combined it has 854,684 streams this week, which would put it at #8 on the Top Tracks. Not sure what/how Billboard is tracking it for it not to be Top 25 on their chart yet (assuming you mean On-Demand). If it's not Top 25 on Streaming Songs, understandable since that measures videos as well and "SS" video is over a year old now.

EDIT: It was #18 on last week's On Demand, I expect it top ten tomorrow.
