D&H with most weeks at #1 on the catalog chart in 2013
Quote:
Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans rebounds from #69 to #60 in its 149th week. The album holds at #1 on Top Catalog Albums for the seventh week. That enables it to surpass Bob Marley & the Wailers’ 1984 compilation Legend for the most weeks at #1 on the catalog chart in 2013. Mars reached #1 on The Billboard 200 in March with Unorthodox Jukebox. Mars is one of just four artists to top both of these key charts in 2013. The others are Justin Timberlake, Daft Punk and The Civil Wars.
Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans drops from #63 to #69 in its 148th week. The album returns to #1 on Top Catalog Albums. This is its sixth week on top. That puts Doo-Wops in a tie with Bob Marley & the Wailers’ 1984 compilation Legend for the most weeks at #1 on the catalog chart in 2013.
Quote:
Doo-Wop On Top: Bruno Mars' "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" collects its sixth week atop the Catalog chart, and first in five months after spending 11 weeks at #2 in that span. Mars' album ties Bob Marley & The Wailers' "Legend" for most weeks atop the chart in 2013,
OMG bruno first Elvis Presley and now Bob Marley who is one of his greatest inspirations.
And D&H has been charting for almost 3 years.
Quote:
Milestones: Bruno Mars' "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" makes it 50 straight weeks on the Billboard 200 as a catalog album. That's the longest current run, although both Brantley Gilbert's "Halfway To Heaven" and The Black Keys' "El Camino" have been on the chart for more consecutive weeks, when current weeks are taken into account.
Thirty-two of this week's 47 Catalog albums on the Billboard 200 have been on the chart for over 100 weeks total - a very large number for any given week.
The 2013 part confuses me. Did Bob Marley's 1984 album randomly start charting this year w/o me knowing? or was it just worded wrong? Either way, great achievement.
Not bad.
But far form record even Adele's 30+ weeks @ #1 is not record, don't remember for sure who has overall record but i think it was Dark Side Of The Moon, who has record of having 1200+ weeks in catalog chart.
