Yeah, I mean the whole thing can be done in Korea and if it's good enough it will be a hit, for example that Girls' Generation song on Letterman was lousy, tired semi-melodies over a Spice Girls meets early Britney meets 'Loose' Nelly Furtado filler track. They seemed timid on the performance, the voices very auto-tuned, a lot of old pop/modern R&B tricks for effect on the song. A total scramble.
A well-written song and a great video will do the trick, but a world smash quality song and a video that really can really be a classic not just an overproduction of something with little substance.
