I dont think she knew originally if she does now. I hope im wrong, but im not sure if it'll be harder on her if she wins an award or none. She'll get medja and gp criticism eitber way. I do believe she won't win any.
Another reason I believe this is cmt=mtv=vmas, and thr cmt's also led taylor to believe she won imo and then arbitrarily disregarded votes and awarded everything else to other artists. RememberbGrant's tweet before the cmt's? He was 100% sute they won at least one. So I think mtv/cmt are just using her name to promote. After all their shows get more headlines when Taylor doesn't win, because outlets then lead with stories like "taylor beaten by so-and-so" and "taylor goes home from (insert award show here) empty-handed.
I think most of the sane people can see through their BS tho. Lots of fan fictions on Tumblr are more believable than their stories.
