Now now, Rihanna looked good too. I can't deny that she slayed with her red hair during the Loud era
But Rihanna isn't recognized for talent, vocals, or anything. She'll be acknowledged for her hits, but that's it. Otherwise she's useless

The whole "classic" talk is subjective anyway.

Oh, give me a break. Rihanna is a talented singer, for the most part. I mean, technically speaking, Beyonce can probably sing circles around her but Rihanna has a richer tone that I think makes her songs better. She has talent.
As for being a label puppet, that I can't dispute.
As for Britney, I don't really know what more you expect of her when it's already been confirmed that the lead single was co-written by her and produced by Orbit and Naughty Boy, certainly not your typical go-to producers for a hit.

+ no input in the process of the creation of her music , degraded women by getting back with the one who turned her face into a punching bag + Ratchet and ghetto as f and tries hard to be hood and fails miserably ... I don't have time to stat the long list but you get the idea

An icon is an artist, like Vadgy, Oasis & Hendrix, that has a classic aura to them. They can be loved and appreciated by people of all ages. Sure, they may not be the most talented artists but they have a quality that makes a whole new generation idolise and want to be them.
80s - Vadgy & Hendrix
90s - Oasis, Blur,
00s - Retard
10s - Rihanna, ADELE, Taylor

You can drag Rihanna for anything, her voice, her lack of writing credits, her forehead, her 4th grade talent show performance, her abusive relationship, album sales ect. but you cannot and will not call her ugly, that is just unacceptable.

I literally did not know any Beyonce songs apart from Crazy in Love and Single Ladies before I came here
I think she pushes this 'Queen B, legend, diva' BS to the public and they just mindlessly follow it
Nothing put of her discography apart from the two songs I already named are memorable or classics.

After hearing most of the major releases of 2013, I wouldn't exactly call it a privilege.

Rihanna is not talented in any aspect. Most, if not everything in her career has been handled by someone else. Her writers and producers break more of a sweat over her material than she does. She does NOTHING on her own.
And as for Knee, she has written a couple of her hits, hasn't she? But I was just talking about the overall look of her career, it's the same as Rihanna's - little to no effort into her own work. However this does make me excited to hear her new single

And not her being a label puppet when her label specifically said they don't even know what she's doing with the album.

I don't mind a good dance song. But seeing as serving a dance song seems to be so hard these days, I want something like Slave 4 u/ Boys.
