The Erotica era was an obvious reason why Madonna was called a **** and so on. Rihanna has never done anything like that to be specifically called a ****, she just came off as one.
It is clear they like Rihanna more (now), but Rihanna will never have Beyonce's respect or star power. She's still viewed as Chris' punching bag, a ****, and a label puppet. She has little to no respect for her label-made hits, and it's well deserved.
