I get why YG is such a perfectionist though. I mean he needs to set up his next generation of artists ASAP - especially males - because Big Bang have always been his biggest act financially and the members are gonna start enlisting in the military real soon. Without Big Bang promoting as a group, yeah the remaining members will probably promote individually, but it probably won't bring in as much money as group promotions do. He needs to be able to rely on other acts for profit way more than he currently does and to do so he's gonna need to be sure that his new acts have what it takes to become big earners. Like, SM has a number of groups who are huge but right now the vast majority of YG's profits come from Big Bang. It's kinda crazy.
But yeah, tl;dr: he needs to hurry his ass up. He won't be able to rely solely on Big Bang and 2NE1 forever.
