I doubt it was recorded in a few weeks when she had plans for TRU for months upon months upon months. So I highly doubt it was recorded in a few weeks.

Unless she said "Yeah I'm re-releasing the album but not gonna write or record it until a week or two before its release"

no she needs to take time, releasing year after year is messy, if she waits longer anticipation builds up for the band wagoners and people who are not fans but pay attention and listen to her stuff anyway, it would build up sales.
