I think that shop lifting scandal really tainted her career + image. But she still went on to star in successful films afterwards. Let's not forget her role in Black Swan

Katy's debut week probably won't be that much different from Gaga's tbh. Katy's gotten alot more popular since TD first came out and she has a stronger fanbase now as well.
