I don't think you can judge her vocals based on the Oscars performance. Alot of artists have given ****** performances due to bad nerves and there's no doubt she was nervous performing that night. That on top of the fact her breathing techniques were ****ed up due to the dress she wore (which she wasn't going to wear but the producers wanted her to).
I'd wait to judge her vocal performances when she's not under alot of pressure such as the Grammys/Oscars. She's not had any other vocal performances aside from those two.

Her singing was spot on but she was a little drowned out by the orchester in the chorus, so it was a mixing problem, but I think we could hear in the last seconds of her performance that her voice is furthermore ok.
