Britney is not gonna sell 500k singles in her first week. It'll be great if she can do more than 300k.

Now, Jenn, let's not start with the pessimistic outlook. She sold 411k in the 1st quarter and she didn't do all that much to support the song. It's not unrealistic for her to do 500k with promo and a front page iTunes banner.

the song didn't have longevity because it didn't click that much with the general public, but that first week of sales is a reflection of a powerful solid fanbase. specially when she was 13 years of career at that time.

I think a lot of us doubt Britney's power. Britney hasn't shown us 100% effort and she still manages to perform these sales. I mean, for the FF era, she looked bad, was ugly, fat, couldn't perform, anti-social, didn't promote, the list could go on and on. With Circus era, it was MUCH better, but still not her ALL, and it still managed to do AMAZING.

We can't judge her star power until she gives us her ALL. However, if she keeps going on this pattern and take advantage of her star power, it will eventually fade. However, as of now, I think Britney has great potential to be really successful.

I didn't expect ITZ-level performing either, but I expected some really solid choreo and fierceness because I thought she had gained her confidence back.

I predicted HIAM would debut at #1, but I thought the album would pull so much. Then again, I banked on the fact that she would be promoting it non-stop. I'm ready for her to test her selling power and actually try to sell her latest record. I think if she truly promotes, she could easily surpass Circus.

Britney's always had huge first weeks. She just hasn't released many lead singles since digital sales have gone up.

"Gimme More," "Womanizer," "Circus," "3" and "Hold It Against Me" all debuted at #1 on the Digital Songs charts, I believe. The fact that "Hold It Against Me" set debut week sales records for females in the first quarter is beyond amazing. I have faith for her lead single.

She can do 300k, i hope.

I just hope Britney gives it her all this era just to test how successful she can really be.

one of my secrets is that I wish "Beautiful Stranger" would be a Britney single. I love that song and something like that would fit Britney so great.

I think we'll see a bit of a decline because Femme Fatale's era was not well received, but a 411k in the fourth quarter is a decline from 411k in the first quarter. There's always the chance she could flop, but I think we'll be pleasantly surprised when she releases her first single.

Plus, I plan on gifting at least 30 copies.
