She's such an angel
and people dare to say that she doesn't try to control her fans
she does address these issues, and she did many time but she said it herself she doesn't hold enough power over all of her fan-base over the internet to MAKE them stop, she can only try to advise them not to and hope they listen
No, she does not need to stop. Even if she can get one rabid fan to ease off a little, she's doing a great job. It fits her brand to continue saying this kind of stuff. If she wants to send a cohesive message to the public against bullying, she absolutely needs to make sure the public knows she does not support her fanbase's well known rabidness. It's not like Justin Bieber fans where they're mostly young, young girls. Her fanbase is mostly comprised of an older demographic that should know better.
You can say what you want - but only recently has her hyprocritical stances really come to light. Only now does she have to do some serious damage control. People keep citing her fans as being the reason that they're no longer Gaga fans - not the music or artistry. The general public doesn't have to investigate her every move - but the more and more times celebrities are attacked by them and it makes the news, the more and more she has to make it clear that she doesn't approve of that behaviour. There was a point and time where she just let it all happen and said nothing, it could be construed as enabling the behaviour.
I, for one, respect her more and more every single time she makes a statement on the subject. I know I'm not the only one. The general public already know she's about anti-bullying... and also know she has a particularly vicious fan base. If she can get the message that she doesn't want her fans doing such things - then it will HELP her image and make her message more credible.
There is seriously no harm in doing this, stop complaining.
(Also... Oh my god it is so hard to concentrate with that avatar of the dude humping the pillow, I had to edit this so many times.)
