so she won an oscar? was it this year 2012? if so I didnt know, didnt hear, and had no idea she was even in a recent movie...
I make it a point not to watch ANY awards shows caz it seems they are all becoming reality TV, the wrong ppl usually seem to win, and I dont care what the general population is led to believe as to who SHOULD win, and whats with oscars giving the YEARS awards to movies that have only really been out a few weeks???... ANYWAYS back on topic
I think back and say, what movies was she really in anyways??? I can remember every one that Angelina was in, I know she won 1 and THINK she won two, to me SHE is the best actress in recent history. just look at HER range in characters. and I can remember near every movie that DeNiro, Pacino, Nicholson, and even Clooney and DeCaprio were in. all of them have an extraordinary range and resume. isnt a great actor supposed to be someone that you remember performance after performance??? and so I ask again, why cant I remember any movies she was in other than Deer Hunter, and Kramer vs Kramer (remembered only caz Hoffman was in it)... and NO its NOT caz I ignore her its caz nothing shes apparently is in makes any waves at the box office or gathers any popular notice... hey Kenneth Branagh is also regarded as a great actor but does anyone really know him or his work???
in anticipation of the flames, true you dont have to make constant hits to be regarded as good, but you DO have to make rememberable performances... so again, what has she really ever done that should be remembered???
Even her soundtrack songs slayed. Vogue, I'll Remember, You Must Love Me, Dont Cry for me Argentina, Beautiful Monster, & This Used to be my Youth are all great. Louise her power!
