Pokémon is ICONIC, everywhere you go people will know what Pokémon is.
It has been almost 2 decades since it first started and it isn't going nowhere,
it will keep on selling like crazy, even though it is "always the same game".

LOL! When I was a kid I stanned hard for Digimon Season 1 because it was more hardcore and were more cooler looking than those intrepid mongrels called Pokémon.

But then I got hold of the game, the dynamics were way much better than what the animé potrays. The supereffectiveness, type combinations, breeding, Pokémon region etc...

I can see how they claim Pokémon is overrated due to its very massive success in this Generation.

Furthermore Digimons are created in the cyberworld that's why their physiology is more on the cool looking while Pokémon follows a more natural evolutionary process even on their object-based ones.

Hence, Pokémon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>> Digimon.

I don't even know any games of the Digimon franchise.

Well I've Stanned for Pokemon for the past 13 years. But I also Stanned for digimon as well.

But Pokemon isn't overrated, sells more than any of your faves could have ever dreamed x1000000

The Pokemon anime is wonderful for kids, but lacks luster for teens and adults. But the pokemom games are the best franchise to ever grace the earth.

Digimon on the other hand is the opposite. The show is very deep, a lot of symbolism that kids would never catch, and the show has a much better way to captivate the audience no matter the age. I still love the show, it's far superior to Pokemon. It's on the same level at the Naruto anime. But the digimon games were hit and miss, they were wonderful for a first play, but don't hold a flame to Pokemon.

No it is not overrated in the slightest. It still keeps me interested at 16 after SO many games.
