Wow. Big news, and big congrats to Darren. Kanyon, OJ, and Pat Patterson render the "first gay wrestling star" thing erroneous, but I get what they were going for.
Not exactly an easy thing to do, given the shallow and oft-arbitrary environment of the WWE, and the wrestling industry in general, so I empathize. Then again, he's likely just solidified his position on the roster for the next years, so this can either do a whole heap of good for his career, or drive it into the ground (bad case scenario: he gets typecasted into a fluke lisping, flaming fem gimmick).
