First of all the discount wouldn't have changed anything. She already sold enough to debut at #1.
Secondly, disregarding your grammar, many musicians create music just for the sake of making music and not because it should be played on the radio. I know it is hard to believe for some people but please don't be so ignorant.
Oh and the last thing. Let's remind ourselves how Katy got all those #1. I think i had something to do with remixes and discounts.
