Before I say anything else, let me just say that I'm a huge fan of Lady GaGa. I ****ing LOVE GaGa.

"The Fame" & "The Fame Monster" eras were EXTREMELY successful, and both albums sold an insane number of records and had tons of amazing smashes like "Just Dance", "Bad Romance", "Poker Face" & "Telephone".

Then she released "Born This Way" and even though it wasn't a flop like a lot of GaGa's haters like to claim...It wasn't as successful as "The Fame" & "The Fame Monster"...

"ARTPOP" was supposed to be GaGa's big comeback album. GaGa even said it's her best album so far and described it as "a phoenix rising from the ashes".

Ever since I've heard Applause, I have to admit I'm a little dissapointed. I was expecting some huge smash on the same level as "Bad Romance" & "Poker Face" but I really don't like the song at all. I'm really worried about the direction GaGa is going with this album...

Not even just musically, but even in her performances and music videos it seems like GaGa isn't as good as she used to be. She had so many amazing videos like "Paparazzi", "Bad Romance", & "Telephone" but then the BTW era had horrible videos like "Born This Way" ( ) & "The Edge Of Glory" ( )


I'm not making this thread to hate on GaGa or anything. As a fan, I'm honestly concerned about what she's doing with this album. I feel like ARTPOP is just another over-hyped mess like Born This Way was and it's gonna end up being a Born This Way 2.0

But I still have some hope for ARTPOP. "Burqa" sounded amazing and that was just a demo so I haven't completely lost hope lol

The Monsters are doing the absolute most.

Absolutely not. The "Born This Way" era slowed Gaga's momentum down because of the hit or miss fashions, the bad single choices, and just the overall theme in general. It turned a lot of the general public off, because she took so many risks. I enjoyed it, but it definitely was a bump in the road. I have full confidence that she'll rebound this era if it's handled properly. Don't count her out just yet. She is Lady Gaga, after all.

I see her career going in the same trajectory as Britney's: starts off really huge and the goes on to have big hits but not as big as her first few.

So yes, I do think she peaked. I thought this was obvious.

If she would have used her TF/M peak time for her own good,keep releasing safe songs like Katy doing all the time she would have been much more succesful,but she always trying to re-invent all things,and all what she gets is backslash/backfire.I'm sorry for you Gaga,you need to come with really good single,something like Aura,not mes like Applause.

Nobody is saying she's not successful anymore, but it's pretty obvious she's peaked in 2010, and since she's still so big - I'm serious - I don't see an actual problem.

That's what sets Gaga apart from the other pop girls. She doesn't play it safe. She wouldn't be Gaga if she did. The "Born This Way" era is proof of that, for better or worse.
