I stopped watching after that. The casts were **** and MTV obviously put more thought into the Jersey Shore, which became a multi-season Jersey version of The Real World/Laguna Beach.
They've had some really charming characters in the past. I love the show even if it is a little boring. Like, I don't know what it is about the simplicity of it all that's just . They just need to not cast such fuggs. Like that suicidal Brandon kid, umm what.
They need to step up their casting and stop picking these boring wannabe actors, singers and models. We haven't even had an out gay person since Preston and that was like 5 seasons ago. In the past 10 years there's only been like 3 full black girls.
They need to start casting real and diverse people cause that's where drama comes from. Get a drag queen, a muslim, an Amish person during their free time, a teen mom, an immigrant, a fat person, an ex-con, etc. These basic jocks and party girls they always use are so boring. No one watches the Real World for hookups anymore. There needs to be legitimate drama.

Are you serious!? Preston was the last openly gay guy they've had?
The show was murdered by the original Las Vegas cast and it's been limping along in increasingly embarrassing fashion ever since. I basically gave up after Philadelphia.
I don't know what I'd do if they ever cancelled The Real World. I don't even want to think about it.
I'm the same, in a way. Now granted, the last few seasons have been duds but I've become inclined to watching it regardless. I'm glad it's coming back but the format-changes are needed.
