Starships is extremely generic, so Applause.
It's kind of funny that a "rapper" has a more generic pop song than a self admitted pop star

Starships by miles, a rapper having a better pop lead single than one of the biggest popstars ever
I love Gaga though

Oh girl.
You tried so hard to be clever with your shade (straight out of the year 2012) & you just ended up looking goofy as ****.
Tragic.

It's also kinda funny that people liked the rapper doing pop more than the pop star doing pop

They're both terrible.
Now that I think about it, Diamonds is the only exceptional lead single released by one of the major girls since Rolling in the Deep
