There is a difference between probability and certainty in science. There is a near-zero probability of life existing at least in the Milky Way Galaxy other than earth while there are at least an estimated 8.7 million species living on earth of which most are yet to be discovered. Earth is so rare and the various factors and precise parameters needed to start and sustain life on earth are virtually impossible to happen. While life is unusual in the universe, it is abundant on our planet.
