But he's just showing so many different variations of who he is, which is nice to see from one artist. It can get a little bit monotonous when you hear the same artist singing about the same stuff, whether it's a love song, or a dj, or a dance floor or party party party. It's just like - c'mon now, we've got other things to do.
To be fair, Katy has re-released similar sounding songs as well but at least she's had some variability in her singles aka ET and her pop rock material.
I can't think of a single that she has released that spoke about the same thing... maybe Waking Up In Vegas/Last Friday Night?
I mean, Firework/Roar share similarities as self-empowerment songs, but there are many different ways to be self-empowered (aka Schiesse is not the same as Born This Way).
She hasn't had a huge variety, but I think a considerable amount for a popstar.
