Target deal is a must at this point, I hope her team knows that.
I'd like to see her smart team finally take advantage of the countless promo opportunities which don't even involve Britney giving an interview or performing. Some kind of an event for release, competitions, deals, billboards, commercials etc etc.

The fact that Applause might sell less than HIAM first week.
A single Britney released 12 years into her career.
While she went fishing.
The STRUGGLE is real.

A Target deal means a commercial, which is effort. Will Britney be up to the challenge?

I agree.
With a big lead single and target deal she can easily do 300K-400K first week.

Competition is a good thing, actually. Will make stans more motivated to actually buy her music this time around, as opposed to FF coming out in the 1st quarter, when almost no one in their right mind would release new music.
The problem is of course that we want Britney to secure the #1 single and #1 album, which is only going to be a problem if she goes head-to-head with someone who is a huge 1st-week seller like she is. Eminem, Gaga, Beyonce, One Direction are the only ones I can see as competition. Others might have more longevity, but they don't usually start off as strongly as Britney (and also don't fall as fast).

If she serves as much as she did in the Twister Dance commercial or her latest perfume commercial, it would do wonders for the album sales.

His first week sale is impressive. But he always falls a lot the weeks after.
I'm not worried about Next lead single opening sales. I'm only worried about her next album opening sale. If she is not going to debut at No1, imagine the meltdown

Bieber is not as a huge as he used to be. The GP's perception of him is the pits these days, half of his fanbase dumped him for 1D.
He already had a big decline with her last album, this one will do even worse.

Still all of his albums went platinum including the Christmas one
I don't think we should be worried about Bieber now. Eminem and 1D are her bigger competitions

It Britney releases on December she will have to compete with a holiday album which usually have huge sales. I dount she'll release along with Eminem and Gaga. She said new music is sooner than we think. So an early November release is truly the best time period. Or Black Friday.

Its like 2000 again. Only 1D is a less successful Nsync.

When she said new music is coming sooner than we think, I think she was talking about her lead single, not the album. I want lead single in the middle of Sept and the album in the end of November.

I don't like the idea of a December release, and feel that it will most likely happen.
While it will sell well during the holiday season, the sales are usually very low in January and it actually takes effort and promo to get the album back up after that.
The earlier she will release, the more opportunities to sell more she will have till the end of the year. Catching Black Friday would help her a lot.

Do not underestimate them. Their fan base keeps getting bigger. They sold almost 10M copies from 2 albums WW. Their soldout tours, their frontloaded sales for both single and album ...

It's definitely not bad but considering she was coming from an album that sold 3 Million in the US, had a target deal and had promo on Idol, Oprah, the BMAs, etc it should've sold more.
It was actually predicted to sell the same amount as FF was, the only difference is that she bothered to promote and promoted WELL. In terms of first week sales, Britney and Beyonce are in the same boat honestly.
