"Harlem Shake", due to hundred million Youtube stream. Before that "Part of Me" by Katy, but that was before the rule change -- it was still sales+airplay and she did 411k.
Bieber's "Boyfriend" debuted at #2 under the streaming rules, 500k+ and huge airplay but it had 0 streaming (wasn't available on services) while fun.'s "We Are Young" had like nearly 400k sales, airplay and a million streams.
All the high debuts of late are really due to sales, but streaming is becoming more and more relevant in the first week.
That's why there is a thirst to have a unique lyric video up (Gaga shooting a lyric video with drag queens yesterday(?) to premiere it tomorrow). Because the lyric/audio videos are easy streams that are counted, literally millions right away. Spotify/Rhapsody are not as quick because it takes time for people to begin streaming on there.
Britney will obviously have an audio/lyric video up since they did it for "Ooh La La", so I have no concerns about her streaming. She'll at least have 4-5 million in the first week from audio/lyric alone. It'd be cool if she had the video ready like "Applause" was supposed to, but she hasn't began shooting anything that we know of, so.

Thanks. So Britney will have to have good timing. I mean if the video comes out the same day I think that will be perfect.

Applause is just like Ooh La La. Both are not great songs. Even if they weren't leaked, they still will not do well. it's ok to be leaked on or two days before it's official released.

NOT really. Had she waited until the official release, Applause could have been heading to #1 next week with a MASSIVE opening number. What ruined that is the messy "APPLAUSE IS OUT TODAY," when she's been engraving 19.8 for over a month. The hype was ruined. She was just really worried about people hearing it before its arrival, BUT leaks are meaningless! Part of Me was on YouTube for TWO YEARS before it debuted with 411k, and it was like Katy's 6th single.
The leak didn't ruin Gaga's plan, SHE ruined her own plan.

It's her third best performing single WW. The song that made everyone love Britney again. The song that stopped people from thinking that she is still crazy. Its Womanizer, Bitch. Some bitches can stay pressed

It better not be a song about aliens
William Orbit's sound in general is 'from another planet', I think that's what she meant.

I don't think it has anything to do with aliens.
Britney used the word "another planet" and the pic posted by that guy has a pic from "another planet" as a background. So, I guess he's legit and it's coming on 17th september.
Maybe, the first single is produced by Orbit.
