I hate 1D and "Blurred Lines".

I still don't get why "songs" have their own category on an award show celebrating videos. But whatever.

1D is obviously winning this. Although their song is the least "summer" from these.

We all know One Direction is gonna win, but why did they nominate them?

It's not even about the song not being "summerish" enough, it's that it was just released, it's obvious there are far bigger Summer hits out there.

This is the same video award show, though, that gave awards for video game soundtracks for about three years, and one for ringtones in 2006 And then there was that misguided revamp in 2007 where they had categories like ''Monster Single of the Year'' and ''Quadruple Threat of the Year''

It's all about what they think will attract the kids and give them some sort of 'buzz' and ratings.

I am voting for Robin no matter if 1D got this one on lock.

I'm sure they're doing the same strategy the Teen Choice Awards used to milk them for viewers. Their fans were upset they weren't nominated before this. Now they're making a special appearance, nominated and presenting most likely.

Blurred Lines is def summer song of 2013 no denying that.
