So many ridiculous reaches Especially the P!nk, Madonna, and Britney ones. The Gaga ones are all reaches, or obvious homages (and of course, Bowie's "original" was a reference itself). I never knew about the Bey/Destiny's Child stuff, though.
And Rihanna totally deserved to get in trouble for the S&M video (or at least her creative team did). I remember when the video came out and I literally thought LaChapelle directed it
Can't tell if serious or just a very good satire of pop music fans' obsession and inexplicable abhorrence of "referencing" and similar concept usage by different people throughout time.

That photo was supposed to be an imitation of Mariah. It was taken for a photoshoot where she dressed up as her favourite divas during her time on The X Factor.
