All this talk about Katy doing the expected sonically, but its not like Gaga is budging from what is expected of her. Applause is the tried & true dance-pop song just like her last 3 lead singles.

She didn't really stake any big claims about going in a new direction, though.

How did you feel about the scene in Vienna in BJ when they run into the sister's ex husband ? It was so convenient . It happened b/c the story needed it to. It was the only time the movie stepped wrong IMO. Very contrived.

We've only heard the first single of Katy's album. What we know of the rest of the album is different sonically.
Everyone knew she was coming for a smash with the first single.

That song was like the ringback tone of every other girl I knew Summer 2007.

I listened to "Hey There Delilah" again recently and remembered that it's actually a great song—sweet and genuine and refreshing.
