Roar is awful, but bound to be a hit. Applause sounds amazing and sounds like it'll be a game changer. I only think Britney will hAve a chance to stand at the top if she gives it her ALL this era. I've not heard Gaga's song yet but Roar doesn't sound like a future hit but who knows? Katy will promote this song everywhere. Britney doesn't have to give her all to beat Katy and gaga. Since its Britney Spears, if she delivers what she did during Circus era, a miracle will surely happen. I don't mind a Womanizer or Circus type single

People don't pay attention to how the song builds into a monster from 0:00 til the end. They don't pay attention to Britney vocals getting more edgy, aggressive and sexy as the song builds. Her 3rd best lead single behind Gimme and Slave.
Also Applause doesn't sound game changing. The production is very modern 80s retro like a lot of pop singles these days. It could easily fit on MDNA the way it sounds from its snippets. It will only be huge cause of the first few weeks and GaGa name.
