After disastrous new songs from Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Mariah Carey disappointed music audiences, some feared that Katy Perry would follow the same path. She didn't.
"Roar" is a self-reliance anthem that deals with being held down and getting back up. It starts off with a creepy (in a good way) beat and leads to one of the best choruses in pop music history
We're The Millers is fun. Some very funny moments. The critics need to pull the brick out of their ass. But it runs about 15 minutes too long. The boy they hire to pose as the son steals the movie from Ani. All that stripping for nothing.
There are two scenes that will go down in the pantheon of great comedic moments.
In the first, Jason Sudeikis is faced with a tough choice and says "Boy, that's what I call a Sophie's Choice!"
In the second, Ani does a bad job pretending to be a mom and Sudeikis sarcastically says to her, "Good job Meryl Streep! That was great subtle character work."
@ Katy still delivering a kidz bop anthem after the relentless emphasis on her new ~mature image, setting her wigs on fire, literally burying her old self, etc
seriously...Roar's chorus is like the chorus of POM
It would've been killer with a monster beat in the chorus but nope...I personally don't feel the same about the chorus like others do...but that's just me
Oh God, if RYB starts doing for Katy what he did for Bieber. She'll go from "she's kind of annoying but her stuff is pretty catchy so whatever" to "why hasn't she been raped, murdered and dumped in a ditch?"
